Gina M Biegel
Gina M. Biegel is a San Francisco Bay Area-based psychotherapist, educational advocate, author, and researcher, specializing in bringing mindfulness-based work to youth, families, professionals, and the community. Biegel pioneered the use of mindfulness-based approaches to stress reduction and management for youth, and created the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens program (MBSR-T). She has conducted a myriad of research studies that have shown her work to be an efficacious and evidence-based treatment program. Biegel is the author of Be Mindful & Stress Less: 50 Ways to Deal with Your (Crazy) Life (2018), Stress Reduction Workbook for Teens: Mindfulness Skills to Help You Deal with Stress (2010 & 2017), and Be Mindful: A Card Deck for Teens. She has also created an audio CD, Mindfulness for Teens: Meditation Practices to Reduce Stress and Promote Well-Being, to complement her program. She works nationally and internationally, training professionals and working with youth and their families. Her work has been featured on CNN and Reuters, and in The New York Times. Biegel is the CEO of Stressed Teens.
