Norman Ollestad studied creative writing at UCLA and graduated from UCLA Film School. He lives in Venice, California and is the father of an eight year-old son. His acclaimed memoir, Crazy for the Storm: A Memoir of Survival has been a Los Angeles Times bestseller, and was listed as in “Best Books of the Year...So Far" by Amazon.com in 2009.
