Happy Family (2016) marks Tracy’s return to her roots as a writer after a successful career in the film and entertainment industry. Prior to segueing into film as an executive and producer, Barone earned her M.F.A. in dramatic writing at NYU and was a screenwriter and playwright with her plays performed Off-Broadway. Her acuity for storytelling caught the eye of studio executives and Barone utilized that skill set in acquiring, developing, and producing feature films. During that time, Barone was the Executive Producer on Wild, Wild, West, Rosewood, My Fellow Americans, and Money Train, and acquired and developed numerous films including Men in Black and Ali. In addition to an M.F.A., Tracy also holds a B.A. from NYU.
