Varley O’Connor is the author of three novels: The Cure ,A Company of Three, and Like China. Her shorter prose has appeared in The Sun magazine, AWP Writer’s Chronicle,Driftwood, Algonkian magazine, and Faultline: A Journal of Art & Literature. An MFA graduate of the Programs in Writing at University of California, Irvine, O’Connor often serves on the staff at the Squaw Valley Community of Writers summer conference. She is assistant professor of English at Kent State University and a member of the creative writing faculty of the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program (NEOMFA).
