Wendy’s first professional library job involved purchasing adult fiction for a rural Michigan library system. After earning a B.A. in history and a master’s degree in library science from SUNY Buffalo, she fell into the job by accident and wasn’t entirely prepared. The biggest hole in her popular fiction knowledge was romance, so she started reading and quickly got hooked. As Library Administrator of Technical Services for the County of Los Angeles Public Library, Wendy oversees a division that orders, catalogs, and processes the collections for 87 libraries and 3 bookmobiles. Wendy has been actively reviewing romance novels for over 15 years, has been featured on NPR’s On Point with Tom Ashbrook, and is a regular contributor at the romance community website Heroes & Heartbreakers. In 2011, the Romance Writers of America honored her with their annual Librarian of the Year Award.
