Tim Pratt Tim Pratt

Tim Pratt lives in Berkeley, California, with his wife Heather Shaw and their son River. His fiction has appeared in The Best American Short Stories, The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, and other nice places, and have been collected in Little Gods and the World Fantasy Award-nominated volume Hart & Boot & Other Stories. He's won a Hugo Award for his short fiction, and been nominated for a Nebula Award, Stoker Award, Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, and a Seiun Award, among others.

His first novel The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl was nominated won a Romantic Times Critic’s Choice Award for best Modern Fantasy and an Emperor Norton Award. Other novels include six books (so far) in the Marla Mason urban fantasy series and forthcoming fantasy Briarpatch. By day he works as senior editor at Locus magazine, where, among other things, he write the obituaries.
