Wendy
Crutcher’s first professional library job involved purchasing adult fiction for a rural Michigan library system. After earning a B.A. in history and a master’s degree in library science from SUNY Buffalo, she fell into the job by accident and wasn’t entirely prepared. The biggest hole in her popular fiction knowledge was romance, so she started reading and quickly got hooked. A materials evaluator for the OC Public Libraries system, Wendy is responsible for selecting and helping to maintain the adult fiction collections at 33 branches. She’s also the acting senior librarian at the Garden Grove Regional Library. In 2011, the Romance Writers of America honored her with their annual Librarian of the Year Award. Wendy’s writing can be found at a variety of online venues including Heroes & Heartbreakers, Criminal Element, RT Book Reviews, and in the forthcoming Greenwood/ABC-CLIO print publication, Encyclopedia of Romance Fiction.
