In the library field for over 30 years, Jill
Patterson has worked in the private sector as well as in public, special, and school libraries. She has been a judge for the OC Chapter of the Romance Writers of America Book Buyer’s Best contest and for the American Christian Fiction Writers’ Carol Awards. In 2011, Jill was the committee chair for the California Library Association’s John and Patricia Beatty Award for children’s literature. A science fiction and fantasy fan, she has spoken at ComicCon on graphic novels and their place in the library. Jill credits her parents for her love of reading through reading aloud to her, weekly trips to the library, and filling their house with books. Belonging to two book discussion groups ensures that she reads widely in all areas.
