Ivy Pochoda grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in a house filled with books. She is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Visitation Street (2013) as well as The Art of Disappearing (2009). A former professional squash player, she moonlights as a ghostwriter. She was the 2009 James Merrill House Writer-in-Residence. She holds a B.A. from Harvard College in English and classical Greek with a focus on dramatic literature, and an M.F.A. from Bennington College in fiction. Ivy lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Justin Nowell. |
